I’m a licensed Humanist wedding officiant providing legal, secular wedding ceremonies crafted especially for you. I believe you should be able to marry who you want, in the way you want.
After a career in communications I decided to take my daughter’s advice and do something that actually had meaning for me. People should marry who they love. Being an officiant allows me to provide a non-judgmental service to people at important milestones in their lives, sharing in their joys and sorrows.

I’m married with two awesome children and a too-licky dog. I'm working on a degree in English and Art History, and love to garden, hike, ski, and make home repairs by watching youtube videos. I’m the Registrar of the Ontario Humanist Society and my favourite Humanist is Gene Roddenberry. LLAP

I asked myself that same question. Turns out I’ve been a Humanist all along. Maybe you are too. Choosing an officiant for us wasn't an easy task but once we met Clare we agreed she was perfect for our wedding. She was genuinely friendly, personable, responsible and simply kind and welcoming. She offered a script to get started, helped with the readings, and even accommodated our request to have some phrases in Russian, which she learned and pronounced perfectly. Thank you for making our special day a beautiful one.
Clare is such a kind, patient, and friendly officiant! She made us feel at ease from the first time we chatted with her to the very end of our wedding day. Clare takes the time to ensure your ceremony goes exactly how you imagined it. She even stepped in, without hesitation, to help Farad read his vows when he was too choked up to get them out himself! We highly recommend Clare’s services
We wanted to sincerely thank you for everything that you did for us on Saturday and over the last year since we met that fateful day at the Cafe! The ceremony that you put together was absolutely perfect. All of our friends and family shared this sentiment. We also very much appreciated your advice and assistance as we set up the ceremony space and last minute ceremony details on Saturday.
Our backyard wedding was exactly what we wanted. Clare made us feel so calm and happy. She wrote a beautiful ceremony for us.
Our plans kept changing and we ended up having our ceremony in a friend's backyard forest. Clare was so flexible and supportive. Our dog loved her too!
We loved our backyard wedding - intimate, beautiful, and Clare's officiating created the perfect balance of solemnity and joy.
You are invited to provide me with feedback about my services at any time.
